Lystek offers an application of its patented process technology to optimize the overall performance of the wastewater treatment plant to minimize the sludge/biosolids generation rate by improving the organic utilization rates in anaerobic digesters and biological nutrient removal (BNR) systems. The cost of biosolids management is the largest single operating cost for most wastewater treatment plants. The use of the Lystek process technology in the plant optimization can reduce overall costs, increase energy generation, and enhance the value and capacity of the existing plant infrastructure by reducing the demand for sludge/biosolids storage.
