- NRC-IRAP program supported the initial pilot studies by City of Guelph/Lystek
- Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) through a Green Municipal Enabling Fund (GMEF) supported the pilot/full scale feasibility studies on the beneficial utilization and recycling of Lystek processed material
